Comco was established in 1986 to provide automation solutions for the grain handling industry in Western Canada. Over time Comco has diversified into other areas of material handling such as feed milling, mining, water treatment, fertilizer, seed cleaning, coffee and pet food automation systems.
With experience and an increased product line, Comco has also broadened its geographical reach. The first overseas project was launched in Egypt in 1992. Since then many other international projects from the Middle East to South East Asia, Latin America, New Zealand and Australia have been completed.
At the turn of the century Comco began to focus on the feed industry. Starting small with post pelleting liquid application (PPLA) systems we evolved into providing complete batching and pelleting control. In 2005 Comco embarked on developing custom process control software to better serve the needs and requirements of feed production. That early development matured into the Helm Automation Suite which allows Comco to provide advanced front to back automation solutions for many industries including the feed milling industry.
Today, the Comco team consists of electrical engineers, drafting, software developers (Human Machine Interface and PLC programming), systems technicians, electricians and a shop team skilled in manufacturing CSA/UL approved motor control centers (MCC), PLC, and marshalling panels.
Comco’s head office is located in Saskatoon, SK Canada with a US Office located in Ida Grove, IA.
